Cindy Friedman

1st/2nd Grade General Studies, Student Life Coordinator

I have been at Akiba-Schechter since:

2016

Education/degrees:

BA, University of Michigan

MA, The Jewish Theological Seminary

I like to teach because:

I love being with children and helping to guide them on their educational journey. All children are competent and being able to impact their learning in a positive way is one of the most meaningful ways to spend my day!

My favorite part of teaching is:

Hanging out with amazing children every day and always learning something new and amazing from them.

I became a teacher because:

I wanted to have an impact on young lives and make sure that every child knows that s/he can always be successful!

I'm known by my students for:

My sense of humor, my dedication to my students, and my silly nicknames for them - which I usually always remember grin

When I'm not teaching, I

Like to spend time with family and friends, spend numerous hours on Pinterest, cook/bake, and spend as much time outdoors for as long as the weather permits!  I also enjoy working out when I'm not glued to the other activities that I enjoy!
