Student Life

At Akiba-Schechter, we believe that learning should never be confined to the classroom. That’s why we work so hard to offer hands-on projects like staging an open-air Israeli shuk (market), holding a mock trial, or simulating a modern-day economy. We are committed to the belief that, while scholarship is admirable, it must be paired with compassion, understanding, and decency—in other words, menschlichkeit. This guides everything we do at Akiba, from creating curriculum to planning holiday celebrations to implementing school-wide programs, like our Buddy Program.

We invite you to visit us, join our community, and see a day in the life of an Akiba-Schechter student.
