Each year tuition revenue accounts for only 75% of our operations budget. Fundraising helps raise the remaining 25%. Annual events include:
World-class chamber music fills the halls of Congregation Rodfei Zedek. The concert features the music of Sam Magad & Friends. Mr. Magad is a former Chicago Symphony Orchestra concertmaster. Contact the Marketing Department to learn more about this annual event at marketing@akibaschechter.org.
Each March, Akiba-Schechter honors a member of the community in this annual fundraising event. Funds raised at the Benefit Dinner support general operations and scholarships in the Day School. The benefit dinner and silent auction is a lively and elegant evening to celebrate with the broader Akiba family and members of the community. Our silent auction includes a collection of local and international goods and services donated by members and friends of the Akiba community. In addition to the Auction, we publish a fantastic Tribute Book that gives individuals as well as businesses the chance to advertise and friends the chance to send messages of appreciation and pride.
